Well, Kiss the Cook!!!

We learned ancient Chinese secrets in handling pie dough last week at Enrichment Night.
We were given a handout with 20 favorite pie recipes.
Fresh berries were on sale at Harmons
so......
this is the 2nd berry pie I've made this week.
I'm getting faster and mastering the techniques
but......
I'll still continue to practice.
I only like two kind of pies,
HOT and COLD!!!

Bon appetit

A ~Tasha Tudor~ quote.

,
"Life isn't long enough to do all you could accomplish.  And what a privilege even to be alive.  In spite of all the pollutions and horrors, how beautiful this world is.  Supposing you only saw the stars once every year.  Think what you would think.  The wonder of it!"

Under the June Moon.

Dave's family have been vacationing this week.
They have enjoyed family, friends and places.
One evening we enjoyed S'mores in the yard.

Making a firepit fashion statement.
Notice "Snickers" the cat under his arm.

I've learned shovels don't bend
and
sometimes stumps don't move at all.

There are a few splashes of color around the yard.

In the garden last night I planted three containers of "Blue Potatoes".
I could see the beginnings of the potatoes which were
 bright, purple metalic in color.
Oh, this should be an Epicurean delight.

Sunday Blessings !

With service to others being emphasized lately,
this scripture has been on my mind today.

34.  Then shall the King say unto them
 on his right hand,
Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom
prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35.  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat:
I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink:
I was a stranger, and ye took me:

36.  Naked and ye clothed me:
I was sick and ye visited me:
I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37.  Then shall the righteous answer him, saying,
Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee?
or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38.  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in?
or naked, and clothed thee?

39.  Or when saw we thee sick,
or in prison, and came unto thee?

40.  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least
of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Matthew 25:34-40

As I go through this list, am I doing them now?
Am I preparing for the future to be able
 to help those in need?
